The Regular Season in Dameligaen just ended.

An interesting game for SISU (20-0) which played road game in Horsholm against 4th placed Horsholm (10-11). Leader SISU had an easy win 68-52. The game without a history. SISU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. SISU outrebounded Horsholm 54-29 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) who led her team to a victory with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Center Iben Soltau (185-86, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) answered with 13 points for Horsholm. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-0 record. Horsholm at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost.
Bottom-ranked Horsens is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 21th consecutive match to sixth ranked Amager (8-12) 81-54. Swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Ena Viso chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Julie Ravn (174-93) with 16 points. Amager have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 8-12 record. Horsens at the other side still closes the standings.
The game in Vaerlose supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Falcon (12-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Vaerlose (9-12). Falcon smashed Vaerlose 79-51 on Saturday. Trenice Fuller nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Alexandra Chili came up with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Vaerlose in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Falcon maintains third place with 12-8 record having eight points less than leader SISU. Loser Vaerlose keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost.

In the last game of round 21 Aabyhoj was smashed by Lemvig on the road 76-48.


Vaerlose - Falcon 51-79

The game in Vaerlose supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Falcon (12-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Vaerlose (9-12). Falcon smashed Vaerlose 79-51 on Saturday. The game without a history. Falcon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 30. Falcon forced 22 Vaerlose turnovers. American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists. Five Falcon players scored in double figures. American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) came up with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Rikke Fabricius (183-92) added 11 points respectively for Vaerlose in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. 79ers (Dameligaen) agreed terms with 23-year old American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian State). She played most recently at ViVe in Finnish SM-sarja, but left.
