Horsens IC made it look easy as they cruised past Naestved for the third straight win in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Naestved was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Horsens IC players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Bakken dominated Horsholm to complete the sweep in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Horsholm was better in fourth quarter 17-16. Svendborg held off Vaerlose to secure the semifinal birth. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-88. Svendborg dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 40 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Vaerlose 41-28 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Gregory Washington (208-84, college: Hofstra) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) contributed with 21 points and 7 assists for the winners. Craig Pedersen has been working with the Rabbits since 2003. He led the team to two Danish Cup titles in 2008 and 2012. Svendborg also claimed the Ligaen title in 2010. Craig Pedersen was chosen to the Ligaen All-Star Game in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012. The last season Svendborg clinched the regular season title but surrendered against the Bakken Bears in the Finals. Craig Pedersen finished his players career in 2006. He worked as playing head coach for three seasons.
