Top ranked Horsens IC (13-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Svendborg on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Svendborg 69-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Horsens IC. Horsens IC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Darious Moten (199-92, college: Mercer) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds. Australian forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) produced 9 points and 16 rebounds for the guests. Svendborg maintains third place with 10-7 record having just one point less than leader Horsens IC. Defending champion Horsens IC still keeps top position with two games lost. Svendborg are looking forward to face Horsholm (#5) on the road in the next round. Horsens IC will play against Randers (#4) and is hoping to win this game.

American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists. Tanner McGrew contributed with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Bakken. SISU maintains seventh place with 5-11 record. Bakken at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. SISU will play against bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (#8) on the road in the next round. Bakken will play against Naestved (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Stevnsgade will play against SISU (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Naestved was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Horsholm (7-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Naestved (7-8). Naestved managed to secure a 6-point victory 92-86. Moritz Lanegger nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Naestved maintains sixth place with 7-8 record. Horsholm at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Naestved's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Horsholm will play at home against Svendborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

SISU - Bakken 108-100

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Bakken (11-2) against seventh ranked SISU (5-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Bakken was defeated by SISU in a tough game in Copenhagen 100-108. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Bakken. The hosts were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 37-24 last quarter charge of Bakken cut the lead to 108-100 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Bakken 47-35 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. SISU players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Bakken's players. Bakken was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists. His fellow American import forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Mike Gesell (188-93, college: Iowa) added 19 points and 7 assists in the effort for Bakken. Five SISU and four Bakken players scored in double figures. SISU maintains seventh place with 5-11 record. Bakken at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. SISU will play against bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (#8) on the road in the next round. Bakken will play against Naestved (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Randers - Stevnsgade 107-74

Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-15) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 107-74 loss to fifth ranked Randers (8-9) in Randers on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Randers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Randers forced 22 Stevnsgade turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Randers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) stepped up and scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Randers players scored in double figures. Swingman Jesper Sandager (194-96) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Nicolas Christensen (190-90) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Naestved - Horsholm 92-86

The game in Naestved was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Horsholm (7-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Naestved (7-8). Naestved managed to secure a 6-point victory 92-86. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-15. But Horsholm won second period 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naestved made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Austrian point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-90) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. American-Haitian Marvin Dominique (201-91, college: St.Peter's, agency: Duran International) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Asbjorn Midtgaard (210-97) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Horsholm in the defeat. Five Naestved and four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Naestved maintains sixth place with 7-8 record. Horsholm at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Wolfpack/BMS and Vaerlose advanced into 1Division Finals. They swept their respective semifinal series. Wolfpack/BMS claimed a 72:64 road win over EBAA to complete the sweep. It was a close battle but the visitors managed to hold their nerve and eked out a decisive win. Vaerlose followed a road success over Koge BK with the home victory.
