Leader Horsens IC delivered the sixteenth win on Tuesday night. This time they beat 7th ranked SISU (7-13) 106-100. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Australian forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Myles Mack (175-93, college: Rutgers) chipped in 29 points and 4 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) produced 30 points for the guests. Horsens IC have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-2 record. SISU at the other side keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. Horsens IC are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will play on the road against Naestved (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Randers was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Naestved (10-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Randers (8-12). Naestved defeated Randers 87-73. Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Deon Mitchell contributed with 22 points for the winners. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Randers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naestved have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Svendborg. Randers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Naestved will play against SISU (#7) in Copenhagen in the next round. Randers will play on the road against Svendborg and hope to get back on the winning track.

Bakken's coach Jakob Freil felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Asbjorn Midtgaard responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Bakken maintains second position with 13-2 record having 3 victories less than leader Horsens IC. Horsholm lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Bakken will meet league's leader Horsens IC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsholm will play against Stevnsgade (#8) and hope to secure a win.

Randers - Naestved 73-87

The game in Randers was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Naestved (10-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Randers (8-12). Naestved defeated Randers 87-73. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Naestved's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-22 extending their advantage to 14 points. They made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Naestved forced 20 Randers turnovers. Randers were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Deuce Bello (193-92, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 20 points and 6 steals in the effort for Randers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naestved have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Svendborg. Randers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. The game with biggest result difference took place in Aarhus. Local Bakken (13-2) outscored 5th ranked Horsholm (8-10) 102-64 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Horsholm turnovers. Bakken shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bakken made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Mike Gesell (188-93, college: Iowa) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 assists and the former international forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Newly promoted APOP Paphou (Division A) landed 25-year old American power forward Will Artino (211-104kg-92, college: Creighton, agency: KMG Sports Management). He played most recently at Horsens IC in Danish Ligaen. In 40 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.2apg last season. Artino helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals after they ended regular season as second best team. After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 1st Division and who belongs to weaker ones. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of EBAA (2-1) in Aarhus on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Vaerlose (3-0) 68-42.
