An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Horsens. First ranked Horsens IC faced 3rd placed Naestved. Host Horsens IC (19-2) defeated guests from Naestved (11-10) 96-85. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Naestved managed to win fourth quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Naestved's 32. The best player for the winners was American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who scored 25 points. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Horsens IC's coach Arnel Dedic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) produced 23 points and 4 assists for the guests. Horsens IC have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-2 record. Naestved at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Horsens IC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Naestved will play at home against the league's second-placed Bakken and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was between seventh ranked SISU and 4th placed Svendborg where SISU (9-13) rolled over Svendborg (11-11) on the road with 26-point difference 94-68. American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds. Tanner McGrew contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Nigerien center Amadou Aboubakar Zaki (214-88) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Svendborg. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SISU moved-up to sixth place. Svendborg lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Svendborg will play at home against the league's second-placed Bakken (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-20) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 90-81 loss to second ranked Bakken (15-3) in Aarhus on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Bakken's coach Jakob Freil allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Davie Champagnie responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds.
