The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Horsens IC (19-3) in Copenhagen on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked SISU (10-13) 91-86. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Horsens IC. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. They outrebounded Horsens IC 54-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by Horsens IC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds. Ivorian forward Adjehi Baru (206-91, college: Charleston) contributed with 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists for Horsens IC. Horsens IC's coach Arnel Dedic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SISU have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 10-13 record. Defending champion Horsens IC still keeps top place with three games lost. SISU are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Horsens IC will play at home against Svendborg and is hoping to win this game.

Worth to mention a great performance of American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 rebounds and Chris Christoffersen who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri) with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Bakken have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Horsens IC. Naestved at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Horsholm. Bakken will play against SISU (#6) in Copenhagen in the next round. Naestved will play on the road against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bakken's coach Jakob Freil used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by Cameron Jones did not help to save the game for Svendborg. Bakken have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Horsens IC. Svendborg lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost. Bakken will meet at home SISU (#6) in the next round. Svendborg will play against the league's leader Horsens IC in Horsens and hope to secure a win.

Stevnsgade - Randers 106-92

Stevnsgade's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 21 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Randers (9-15) 106-92. It looked good early as Randers took a 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stevnsgade took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 14 points. They outrebounded Randers 42-23 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. 31 personal fouls committed by Randers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American power forward Davie Champagnie (206-90, college: Martin Methodist) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) who recorded 32 points and 5 assists and Nigerian-American guard Deuce Bello (193-92, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 19 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Stevnsgade maintains eighth position with 1-21 record. It was Randers' third loss in a row. They keep the seventh place with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

An interesting game for Bakken (17-3) which played road game in Naestved against one of their biggest challengers Naestved (11-11). Second ranked Bakken managed to get a 5-point victory 83-78. Naestved was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 46-37 second half run of Bakken. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Naestved was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-79, college: Oregon) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Svendborg managed to win second period 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bakken dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Svendborg's 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) who scored that evening 31 points and 5 assists and Estonian forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Bakken Bears (Ligaen) signed 26-year old American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-95kg-91, college: Texas Tech). He played last season at Lighthouse Conad Trapani in Italian Serie A2.
