Keane
Thomann
American Center Keane Thomann (211-C-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Bakken, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Stevnsgade (#8, 1-25) with 37-point margin 118-81. Bakken maintains the 2nd position in Danish Ligaen. They are still close to the very top. Bakken would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-4 record. It's Thomann's second year at Bakken and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Keane Thomann averages this season 7.7ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Guamanian Earnest Ross (196-G-91) of Naestved. Ross had a very good evening with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Naestved to another comfortable win 89-71 over the lower-ranked Stevnsgade (#8, 1-25) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Naestved to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-14 record. Ross is a newcomer at Naestved, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tanner McGrew (203-F-93, agency: Duran International) of SISU (#6). McGrew scored 22 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite McGrew's great performance SISU lost 79-89 to slightly lower-ranked Randers (#7, 10-17). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of SISU ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, McGrew could help SISU to bring them higher in the standings. McGrew has a great season in Denmark. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.6ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Filip Rajovic (190-F-97) of Stevnsgade - 29 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jyles Smith (209-PF-92) of Horsholm - 22 points and 10 rebounds
6. Myles Mack (175-PG-93) of Horsens IC - 22 points and 9 assists
7. Chris Nielsen (193-G/F-85) of Randers - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-G-93) of Bakken - 22 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Will Artino (211-C/F-92) of Horsens IC - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Davie Champagnie (206-F/C-90) of Stevnsgade - 16 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

1st Division Round 4: EBAA lose to Vaerlose - 1 day ago
After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 1st Division and who belongs to weaker ones. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of EBAA (2-1) in Aarhus on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Vaerlose (3-0) 68-42. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of EBAA. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Vaerlose have a solid three-game winning streak.
