The Regular Season in Ligaen just ended.

An interesting game for Bakken (24-4) which played road game in Horsholm against 3rd ranked Horsholm (15-13). First ranked Bakken had an easy win 113-70. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Horsholm's 44 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game, while Horsholm only scored five points from the stripe. Bakken forced 27 Horsholm turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for the former international swingman Thomas Laerke (195-91, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. The former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bakken's coach Jakob Freil felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Andreas Meilby (198-92) replied with 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for Horsholm. Bakken have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. Horsholm at the other side keeps the third place with 13 games lost.
The game in Copenhagen supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Horsens IC (23-5) played at the court of 6th ranked SISU (12-16). Horsens IC smashed SISU 98-61. Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Will Artino chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsens IC have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 23-5 record behind leader Bakken. SISU at the other side keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost.

In the last game of round 30 Randers was beaten by Naestved on the road 90-86.

Naestved - Randers 90-86

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Naestved (13-15) beat at home 7th ranked Randers (10-18) 90-86. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Randers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Nigerian forward Patrick Onwenu (198-93, college: Alcorn St.) scored 29 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Randers' coach Morten Hansen tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Naestved moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Svendborg. Randers at the other side keep the seventh position with 18 games lost.

Newly promoted APOP Paphou (Division A) landed 25-year old American power forward Will Artino (211-104kg-92, college: Creighton, agency: KMG Sports Management). He played most recently at Horsens IC in Danish Ligaen. In 40 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.2apg last season. Artino helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals after they ended regular season as second best team. 1st Division Round 4: EBAA lose to Vaerlose - 23 hours ago
After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 1st Division and who belongs to weaker ones. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of EBAA (2-1) in Aarhus on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Vaerlose (3-0) 68-42.
