There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Ligaen. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

Naestved (3-1) recorded a loss on the court of Horsens IC on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Horsens IC 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Naestved managed to win third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Naestved's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: G.Washington) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian forward Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Horsens IC's coach Arnel Dedic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kazembe Abif (200-92, college: Drexel) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Horsens IC is looking forward to face Svendborg (#6) at home in the next round. Naestved will play against Horsholm (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mike Moore contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds for BMS Skovlunde. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Svendborg will play against Horsens IC on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BMS Skovlunde will play against Horsholm (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.

In the last two games of round 2 winless Stevnsgade was crushed by Randers in a road game 89-67. Naestved smashed Svendborg at home 83-60.
The best stats of 2nd round was 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists by Charles Burgess of Randers.

Randers - Stevnsgade 89-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Stevnsgade's (0-3) road loss to Randers (1-1) 67-89. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Stevnsgade was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers forced 19 Stevnsgade turnovers and had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Belizean forward Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Chris Nielsen (193-85) contributed with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Filip Rajovic (190-97) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Brazilian forward Matao de Souza (201-86, college: Idaho) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Stevnsgade. Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

No shocking result in a game when Naestved (3-1) smashed at home Svendborg (1-2) 83-60. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naestved forced 22 Svendborg turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. British guard Conner Washington (183-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 5 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) contributed with 15 points and 5 steals for the winners. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. The former international forward Jacob Enevold-Jensen (215-94, college: Drake) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll.) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Svendborg. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved will play against Horsholm (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Svendborg will play against Horsens IC to get more than just one victory in their record.

Horsens IC (Ligaen) added to their roster 23-year old American point guard Dominique Hawkins (183-88kg-94). Hawkins just graduated from Kentucky (NCAA). He has played there for the last four years. In 37 games he recorded 4.7ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.7apg last season. Hawkins helped them to win SEC Tournament and end the regular season at the top position.
