Round 3: Runa lose to Georgia in the game between Top 4 teams - Sep 28, 2017

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tbilisi. Georgian host Georgia (4-1) smashed Russian Runa (3-2) 76-46. It was a great evening for power forward Giorgi Korsantia (203-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nika Chechelashvili (196-99) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Serafim Ashin (-98) with 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Latvian Valmiera/ORDO (4-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat Polish TBV Start (0-5) 73-59. It was a quality performance for guard Rainers Kalnins (188-99) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Valters Liepins accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Karol Kazmirowski (185-99) came up with 18 points for TBV Start in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
A very close game took place in Helsinki between Kazakhstan Barsy and Finnish Helsinki Rock. Barsy (3-2) got a very close victory on the road over Helsinki Rock (0-5). Barsy managed to escape with a 3-point win 65-62 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Askar Maidekin who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Santeri Makkonen who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds. Helsinki Rock's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last game of round 3 Ventspils was destroyed by Tsmoki on the opponent's court 68-46.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points by Vladislau Bliznyk of Tsmoki.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Latvian Ventspils' (3-2) road loss to Belarusian Tsmoki (3-2) 46-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Vladislau Bliznyk (181-99) who scored 20 points. Aksim Karattsou chipped in 8 points and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Denis Vikentsyev (-98) who recorded 6 points and 10 rebounds and Belarusian guard Vlad Mikulski (192-98) added 13 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Talented Nika Chechelashvili (196-F-99) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Georgia and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3.
