    KML: BC Kalev/Cramo wins another title - May 22, 2017


    BC Kalev/Cramo defeated Avis Utilitas Rapla 91:62 on the road and was crowned a champion for the 9th time with a 4:0 sweep. Kalev/Cramo started the game with a huge 15:2 run but the hosts managed to come back as they trailed 29:32 only in the middle of the second. However, Kalev made a 7:0 run and won the first half 41:32.
    In 3rd, Avis fought well and trailed 47:52 with 4 minutes to play. That was it as Kalev made a decisive 14:0 run, increased the gap to 19 with a quarter to go and didn't look back any more.
    The MVP of the final series, Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: 011 Sports), as well as Mark Tollefsen (206-PF-92, college: Arizona) scored 18 points. Cedric Simmons (206-F/C-86, college: N.Carolina St.) added 12 and Sten-Timmu Sokk (184-PG-89) 11 points + 6 assists. Domen Bratoz (189-PG-93) had 22 for the hosts who were awarded silver medals for the first time in their history. Alar Varrak won the 4th title as the head coach, tying the Estonian record. Gregor Arbet (196-F/G-83) won his 7th title, also tying the record.

    Kalev/Cramo celebrate Cup title beating Tartu Ulikool 71:66. They exploded with a 21-7 surge in the start of the game and added a 20-16 rally in the second period. Tartu Ulikool however dominated the second half and posted two victories in the third and the last stanzas. It was enough only to reduce to the final result.
    Demonte Harper (193-G-89, college: Morehead St.) top-scored for the winners with 16 points, while Cedric Simmons (206-F/C-86, college: N.Carolina St.) added 13. Mandell Thomas (188-G-93, college: Fordham) answered with 19 points in the losing effort and Janar Talts (206-PF-83) scored 12.

    Rain Veideman (192-G-91) leads Blue team in Tallinn All Star Game as he erupted with 37 points to be named MVP of the game. Blue team posted a 159-152 win on Thursday night.
    The White team managed to win the first period 34-32 and produced the same quarter before the halftime. The Blue squad however replied with a 43-34 run in the third period and took the lead in the game. Moreover they closed the game with a 52-50 rally to seal the victory.
    Ivars Rihards Zvigurs (198-SF-95) and Gert Kullamae (198-G/F-71) delivered 20 points each in the winning effort. Janari Joesaar (198-SF-93, college: UTRGV, agency: Three Eye Sports) Janari answered with 22 points in a loss. Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90, college: Portland) produced 21, while Aivar Kuusmaa (189-G-68) added 16.
    Mark Tollefsen (206-PF-92, college: Arizona) celebrated victory in Slam Dunk Contest, while Janari Joesaar claimed Slam Dunk Contest title.
