Estonia celebrated the starting victory at the 2012 Baltic Cup in Riga. They overcame their Lithuanian counterparts in the opener. Trine Kasemagi (190-C-95) came up with 14 points and 12 rebounds to pace the winners.
Estonia grabbed the lead early in the game and maintained it well throughout the encounter. They managed to keep Lithuania at safe distance claiming the first win. Greeta Uprus (175-G/F-94) accounted for 13 points for Estonia. Birgit Piibur (160-PG-94) scored 12 points for the winners. Justina Kraujunaite (174-F-95) responded with 14 points for Lithuania. Austeja Sirsinaityte (164-PG-95) netted 12 points in the losing effort.
Estonia will next take on Latvia, while Lithuania will face Ukraine.
