#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Laina Mesila-Kaarmann (186-87, currently plays in Latvia). She led Eclex Tallinn to a victory over the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53 in the Latvian LSBL in Saturday night's game.
Mesila-Kaarmann was MVP of the game. She recorded 26 points (!!!), 3 assists and 3 steals in 29 minutes on the court.
Eclex Tallinn (2-0) is placed first in the LSBL.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Mesila-Kaarmann has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 20.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 66.7%(18-27) in the two games she played so far.
Mesila-Kaarmann played for the Estonian senior national team years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Viive Kai Rebane (182-89, college: Binghamton, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game.
Rebane contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53.
She recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Rebane's first season in pro basketball. Rebane belongs to league's most steals and is ranked #5.
She has very reliable stats this season: 12.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.0apg, 3.0spg, 2FGP: 42.1% and FT: 75.0%.
Rebane played for the Estonian national team in 2012.
#3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Annika Koster (185-92, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. But that was another game of her team in Latvian LSBL which we would like to mention.
Koster contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Latvijas Universitate (0-2) crushing them 91-56.
She had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 13 rebounds. Koster also added 3 assists and 4 steals in 29 minutes.
Eclex Tallinn (2-0) is placed first in the LSBL.
Koster is currently fourth on the list of best rebounders with 8.5rpg.
This year her other stats are: 11.0ppg, 2.0apg, 3.0spg, 2FGP: 58.3% and FT: 72.7% in the two games.
Koster played for the Estonian national team years ago.
#4. Guard Mirjam Nikolai (177-86, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Viive Kai Rebane (above) in the other team.
Nikolai was the major contributor in a Eclex Tallinn's victory against the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53.
She recorded 17 points.
Nikolai has relatively good stats this season: 12.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.5apg and 2.0spg.
She used to play for the Estonian national team
earlier this year.
#5. International forward Gerly Kostla (180-80, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Mirjam Nikolai (above) in the other team.
Kostla contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53.
She recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes.
This year Kostla has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.0spg in the two games.
She plays currently for the Estonian national team.
#6. Guard Marit Maaring (178-91, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Gerly Kostla (above) in the other team.
Maaring contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53.
She recorded 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Maaring has reliable stats this season: 10.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.5apg and 2.5spg.
She is U20 international player who is currently on the Estonian National Team roster.
#7. International guard Heila Rosenfeldt (173-83, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Annika Koster (above) in the other team.
Rosenfeldt contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Latvijas Universitate (0-2) crushing them 91-56.
She scored 13 points and added 3 passes in a mere 19 minutes.
It's Rosenfeldt's first season with the team.
Rosenfeldt is currently seventh on the list of best passers with 3.0apg.
She also averaged so far 10.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5spg in the two games.
Rosenfeldt is also Estonian national team player.
#8. Guard Oksana Miil (172-86, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LSBL could not help KK Tallinna Ulikool (0-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance the bottom-ranked KK Tallinna Ulikool was edged 71-69 on the road by the second-ranked TTT Juniores.
Miil was the top scorer with 26 points. She also added 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Miil has very high stats. She averages: 17.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.5apg and 2.0spg.
Miil plays currently for the Estonian national team.
#9. U20 international point guard Anastassia Ptitsona (168-91, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Marit Maaring (above) in the other team.
Ptitsona contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked RTU-Merks (1-1) crushing them 108-53.
She recorded 8 points in 22 minutes.
Ptitsona has been at the team for five years.
This season Ptitsona's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg in the two games.
She is also in the roster of the Estonian U20 national team.
#10. Center Trine Kasemagi (190-95, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LSBL was not able to help Audentese SG/Noortekoondis (1-1) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Kasemagi's good performance Audentese SG/Noortekoondis was defeated 67-61 in Riga by the higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#5).
She recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds. Kasemagi also added 4 blocks. It was his first game for Audentese SG/Noortekoondis this season.
Kasemagi is U18 international player as years ago she still played for the Estonian national team.
#11. International forward Kerli Haas (180-90, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LSBL was not able to secure a victory for Rapla KK (0-2) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Rapla KK lost 65-72 in Riga to the second-ranked TTT Juniores.
Haas had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 13 rebounds in 40 minutes.
Haas is currently second on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (seventh place).
She has very impressive stats this year: 21.5ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.0apg and 2.0spg in the two games.
Haas plays currently for the Estonian national team.
#12. U20 international swingman Greeta Uprus (177-94, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Trine Kasemagi and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game.
Uprus, who plays in the Latvian LSBL couldn't help Audentese SG/Noortekoondis (1-1) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance Audentese SG/Noortekoondis was defeated 67-61 in Riga by the higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#5).
Uprus was the top scorer with 12 points. She also added 8 rebounds (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line). It was his first game for Audentese SG/Noortekoondis this season.
Uprus is also in the roster of the Estonian U20 national team.
#13. International forward Kerdu Arbet-Lenear (184-80, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Laina Mesila-Kaarmann. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Heila Rosenfeldt (above) in the other team.
Arbet-Lenear contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Latvijas Universitate crushing them 91-56.
She scored 8 points in only 12 minutes. It was his first game for Eclex Tallinn this season.
Arbet-Lenear is also Estonian national team player.
#14. U20 international point guard Birgit Piibur (162-94, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Trine Kasemagi. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Greeta Uprus (above) in the other team.
Piibur couldn't help Audentese SG/Noortekoondis in their game against RTU-Merks. Despite her good performance last Sunday She was the second best scorer with 11 points. Piibur also added made 3 passes and 4 steals. It was his first game for Audentese SG/Noortekoondis this season.
She plays currently for the Estonian U20 national team.
#15. U20 international forward Janett Perv (179-91, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oksana Miil and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game.
Perv couldn't help KK Tallinna Ulikool in their game against TTT Juniores, despite her very good performance on Saturday night.
She had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds in 35 minutes.
But her team was edged 71-69.
Perv is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (second place).
She has very impressive stats this year: 18.0ppg, 10.5rpg and 1.5apg in the two games.
Perv is also in the roster of the Estonian U20 national team.

Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bozhkov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Ashley Gayle replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and Estonian forward Viive Kai Rebane added 14 points in the effort for Neftochimic.
