Kast comes back to KK Tallinna Ulikool - Nov 3, 2012

KK Tallinna Ulikool (LSBL) added to their roster 25-year old Estonian international center Valeria Kast (201-87, college: N.Mexico, agency: Josep and Nicolas). Its actually her comeback to Tallinn as she played here before. Kast just played at Asteras in Greek A1 league. But in only one game this season she did not score anything and had only 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. The most of last season she spent at Arxil Pontevedra in Spanish LF2. In 16 games last year she recorded 10.9ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.0apg. Kast also played at Toyota Recreativo Conquero Huelva (previous name Conquero) in LF2 earlier that season. In 10 games she averaged 10.6ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.5bpg.
Her team won Belarusian Cup in 2011.
Kast was also voted Eurobasket.com All-BWBL Honorable Mention in 2011.
She has been also a member of Estonian international program for some years. Kast has played for Senior National Team since 2010 and previouslyfor U18 National Team in 2005. She represented Estonia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 this year. Her stats at that event were 7 games: 6.7ppg, 3.9rpg, FGP: 46.8%, FT: 37.5%.
Kast has played also professionally in Belarus (Tsmoki-Minsk), Estonia (Tallinna Kalev) and Spain (Joventud Mariana).
She attended University of New Mexico until 2010 and it will be her third season as a professional player.

NKL Round 6: Tahtvere loses their first game against VARS - 8 days ago

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Tahtvere (2-1) in Tallinn on Friday night. Visitors were edged by VARS (2-1) 60-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tahtvere. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 18-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. This week's number one is an international guard Pirgit Puu (168-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports).
