Here is the weekly review of the top performing Estonian players, who play currently abroad.


Viive Kai Rebane

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Viive Kai Rebane (182-89, college: Binghamton, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LSBL. She could not help one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn (8-1) in their last game. Despite Rebane's very good performance Eclex Tallinn lost 67-75 on the road to the leading Cesis. She was the top scorer with 24 points. Rebane also added 3 blocks in 24 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her first season in pro basketball. It was Eclex Tallinn's first loss after eight consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Rebane has relatively good stats this year: 14.9ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2.4spg, 2FGP: 53.0% and FT: 83.8% in the eight games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Estonian senior national team.

Merike Anderson

   #2. Second place goes to an international swingman Merike Anderson (180-81, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Bulgaria. Anderson was not able to help Dunav 8806 (0-3) in their last game on Thursday. Despite her very good performance the third-placed Dunav 8806 was defeated 84-70 at home by the second-ranked Botas in the group F of Eurocup. Anderson was the second best scorer with 16 points. She also added 4 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals. Anderson's team will play only one more game in the Eurocup Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Anderson has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 18.0ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.3apg, 2.7spg, 2FGP: 41.2%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 77.8%. Anderson is in the roster of the Estonian senior national team.

   #3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Annika Koster (185-92, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Viive Kai Rebane and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game. Koster. She was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn (8-1) in their game against Cesis (8-0). Koster scored 8 points, grabbed 12 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals in 32 minutes. Eclex Tallinn lost 67-75 on the opponent's court to the leading Cesis. Koster is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of most steals (first place). She has very reliable stats this year: 12.6ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.8apg, 3.9spg, 2FGP: 58.7%(44-75) and FT: 75.8% in the nine games. Koster is also a member of the Estonian senior national team.

   #4. Guard Heila Rosenfeldt (173-83, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Viive Kai Rebane. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Annika Koster (above) in the other team. Rosenfeldt, who plays in the Latvian LSBL couldn't help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn (8-1) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance Eclex Tallinn was defeated 75-67 on the opponent's court by the leading Cesis. Rosenfeldt was the second best scorer with 11 points. She also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Rosenfeldt belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #4. Her overall stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.9apg and 1.3spg. Rosenfeldt used to play for the Estonian national team last year.

   #5. U16 international forward Kadri-Ann Lass (175-96, currently plays in Latvia) led Audentese SG/Noortekoondis to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Rapla KK (1-7) 67-63 in the Latvian LSBL last Saturday. She was MVP of the game. Lass scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. Audentese SG/Noortekoondis (4-5) is placed seventh in the LSBL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Lass has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in the nine games. She plays currently for the Estonian U16 national team.

   #6. Forward Kerttu Jallai (180-90, currently plays in Latvia) was the main contributor in a KK Tallinna Ulikool's victory against the closely-ranked Audentese SG/Noortekoondis (4-5) crushing them 72-50 in the Latvian LSBL on Wednesday night. Jallai was the best player in that game. She recorded 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and made 3 blocks. It was his first game for KK Tallinna Ulikool this season. Her team is placed ninth in the LSBL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. It's Jallai's first year with the team. Jallai is an international player who is currently on the senior Estonian National Team roster.

   #7. U18 international center Trine Kasemagi (190-95, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kadri-Ann Lass and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game. Kasemagi contributed to an Audentese SG/Noortekoondis' victory against one of league's weakest teams Rapla KK (1-7) 67-63. She had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 19 rebounds in 32 minutes. Kasemagi is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (third place). This year her overall stats are: 8.8ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3bpg in the nine games. Kasemagi is also Estonian U18 national team player.

She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Heila Rosenfeldt (above) in the other team. Nikolai couldn't help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn (8-1) in their game against Cesis (8-0). She scored 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Eclex Tallinn was defeated 75-67 on the opponent's court by the leading Cesis. Nikolai has reliable stats this season: 13.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.2apg and 1.8spg. She plays currently for the Estonian national team.

She scored 10 points in 25 minutes. But Eclex Tallinn lost 67-75 on the opponent's court to the leading Cesis. Mesila-Kaarmann's stats this year are: 13.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.3bpg in the nine games. She is also in the roster of the Estonian national team.

   #10. Guard Pirgit Puu (168-88, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kerttu Jallai and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game. Puu was the major contributor in a KK Tallinna Ulikool's victory against the closely-ranked Audentese SG/Noortekoondis (4-5) crushing them 72-50. She recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. It's Puu's first season with the team. This year Puu has very high stats. She averages: 16.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.0apg and 3.4spg. Puu is international player as one years ago she still played for the Estonian senior national team.

   #11. International forward Kerli Haas (180-90, currently plays in Latvia) faced previously mentioned Kadri-Ann Lass in the Latvian LSBL last game. Haas couldn't help Rapla KK in their game against Audentese SG/Noortekoondis, despite her very good performance last Saturday. She had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. Haas also added 4 assists in 35 minutes. But her team lost 63-67. Haas is currently third on the league's list of top scorers with 18.4ppg. This year she also averages: 7.6rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg in the eight games. Haas used to play for the Estonian national team last year.

   #12. International guard Oksana Miil (172-86, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kerttu Jallai. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Pirgit Puu (above) in the other team. Miil contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Audentese SG/Noortekoondis crushing them 72-50. She recorded 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Miil is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers. This season she has very high stats. Miil averages: 16.1ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.9apg and 2.1spg. She used to play for the Estonian national team last year.

   #13. Former U16 international forward Kristel Viljus (173-93, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kerli Haas and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game. Viljus couldn't help Rapla KK in their game against Audentese SG/Noortekoondis, despite her very good performance in Saturday night's game. She was the top scorer with 18 points. Viljus also added 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. But her team lost 63-67. This year her total stats are: 8.3ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.9apg and 2.5spg in the eight games. Viljus used to play for the Estonian U16 national team three years ago.

   #14. U20 international swingman Greeta Uprus (177-94, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kadri-Ann Lass. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Trine Kasemagi (above) in the other team. Uprus contributed to an Audentese SG/Noortekoondis' victory against one of league's weakest teams Rapla KK 67-63. She scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Uprus averaged so far 10.7ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. She used to play for the Estonian U20 national team last year.

   #15. U20 international point guard Anastassia Ptitsona (168-91, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Viive Kai Rebane. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Laina Mesila-Kaarmann (above) in the other team. Ptitsona couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn in their game against Cesis. She scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. Her team lost 67-75. Ptitsona has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.7apg and 1.7spg in the nine games. She used to play for the Estonian U20 national team last year.

   #1. Sheila Kodanik (180-F-80, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LSBL could not help the league outsider BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite (0-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Kodanik's very good performance the bottom-ranked BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite was crushed 102-56 on the road by the much higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#4). She was the top scorer with 16 points. Kodanik also added 5 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Kodanik has been at the team for five years. She has averaged so far 4.3ppg and 2.4rpg.

   #2. Kaiti Vasiljeva (177-G-87, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sheila Kodanik and both played together in the last Latvian LSBL game. Vasiljeva, who plays in the Latvian LSBL was not able to help the league outsider BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite (0-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance the bottom-ranked BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite was crushed 102-56 in Riga by the much higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#4). Vasiljeva was the second best scorer with 11 points. She also added 3 assists. Vasiljeva has averaged so far 4.6ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Kadri Uigra (183-F-97, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sheila Kodanik. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Kaiti Vasiljeva (above) in the other team. Uigra was not able to secure a victory for the league outsider BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite (0-8) in their game against RTU-Merks (7-3). She scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The bottom-ranked BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite was crushed 102-56 in Riga by the much higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#4). Uigra has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 5.0rpg.

   #4. Liisi Sokman (168-G-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (4-5) 72-56 in the German DBBL last Saturday. She scored 6 points in only 11 minutes. DJK Don Bosco Bambergis placed first in the DBBL. Sokman has averaged so far 3.9ppg and 1.1rpg in the eight games she played so far.

   #5. Maarja Kalma (169-G-88, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sheila Kodanik. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Kadri Uigra (above) in the other team. Kalma couldn't help the league outsider BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite (0-8) in their game against RTU-Merks (7-3). She scored 6 points. The bottom-ranked BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite was crushed 102-56 in Riga by the much higher-ranked RTU-Merks (#4). Kalma has been at the team for eight years. Kalma has averaged so far 2.8ppg and 1.5rpg.

   #6. Sade Ereli (175-G-94, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sheila Kodanik. She played also in the last Latvian LSBL game facing Maarja Kalma (above) in the other team. Ereli couldn't help the league outsider BC Tartu Ulikooli/Loctite in their game against RTU-Merks. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Ereli scored only 3 points. Her team was crushed by 46 points 102-56. She has averaged so far 3.9ppg and 4.8rpg.

   #7. Gerda Kirpson (175-G-94, currently plays in Latvia) managed to help KK Tallinna Ulikool in a victory against the closely-ranked Audentese SG/Noortekoondis crushing them 72-50 in the Latvian LSBL last Wednesday. Kirpson recorded only 2 points in 1 minutes on the court. This year she averages just 2.0ppg in the seven games.

   #8. Experienced Piret Hallik-Sass (175-F-67, currently plays in Latvia) couldn't help Rapla KK in their game against Audentese SG/Noortekoondis in the Latvian LSBL. Hallik-Sass cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points. Her team was defeated 67-63. Hallik-Sass has averaged so far 2.1ppg and 3.4rpg.
