The most exciting game of round 10 in the KML took place in Tallinn. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked KK Parnu (4-7) to fourth ranked TTU (6-5) 75-74 on Tuesday evening. The hosts trailed by 14 points at the halftime before their 28-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. TTU forced 22 KK Parnu turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by KK Parnu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jaan Puidet (192-G/F-92) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kiur Akenparg (190-88) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Lithuanian guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-91) replied with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for KK Parnu. TTU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kalev/Cramo. KK Parnu at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. TTU is looking forward to face Rapla (#5) at home in the next round. KK Parnu will play against Valga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Matulionis (200-91) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Rannar Raap chipped in 23 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Sander Saare (182-94) responded with 30 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Parnu maintains seventh position with 4-7 record. Hito/Johvi lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. KK Parnu will play against higher ranked Valga (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hito/Johvi will have a break next round.


Parnu - Hito/Johvi 81-73

The game between seventh ranked KK Parnu (4-7) and 9th ranked Hito/Johvi (1-11) in Parnu ended with biggest points difference. KK Parnu beat guests from Johvi 81-73. The game without a history. KK Parnu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Parnu forced 21 Hito/Johvi turnovers. Hito/Johvi was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Matulionis (200-91) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Rannar Raap (188-92) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Four KK Parnu players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Sander Saare (182-94) responded with 30 points and power forward Edvard Trumm (192-83) scored 6 points and 18 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Parnu maintains seventh position with 4-7 record. Hito/Johvi lost eleventh consecutive game. Sharks Antibes (ProA) agreed terms with 29-year old American guard Morris Curry (181-77kg-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports). He played last season at Kalev/Cramo in Estonian Alexela KML. Curry managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 14 Alexela KML games he had 10.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.8apg. 26-year old center Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Rapla and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. He had a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Tarvas (#7, 3-6) with 20-point margin 81-61. Rapla is placed at 2nd position in Estonian league. Alexela KML Round 9: Kalev/Cramo hands first loss to TU/Rock - 4 days ago

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of TU/Rock (7-1) in Tallinn on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Kalev/Cramo (5-2) 86-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of TU/Rock. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TU/Rock managed to win second period 22-16.
