Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for Tln Kalev, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The -year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds, while his team Tln Kalev maintains the 8th position in Estonian KML. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 11 games and recorded just three victories. Okoye turned to be Tln Kalev's top player in his first season with the team. Former Boise State University star has very solid stats this year. Okoye is in league's top in points (7th best: 14.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 55.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Brandis Raley-Ross (188-G-87) of league's leader Tarvas. Raley-Ross had a very good evening with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he lead Tarvas to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tln Kalev (#8, 3-11) 103-82. This victory allowed Tarvas to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team has currently 12-4 record. Raley-Ross is a newcomer at Tarvas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Lithuanian guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-G-91) of Parnu (#7). Peciukevicius showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, six rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Parnu, leading his team to a 93-75 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Tln Kalev (#8, 3-11). The chances of Parnu not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Peciukevicius could try to bring Parnu's a little bit higher in the standings. Peciukevicius has a very solid season. In 12 games in Estonia he scored 14.1ppg. He also has 5.4rpg, 4.7apg and FGP: 53.8%.

10. Ike Okoye (206-F) of Tln Kalev - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Rasham Suarez (190-G-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Rapla and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23. The 24-year old guard had the game-high 33 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Rapla in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Valga (#6, 8-17) 80-78. There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Alexela KML. Sixth-ranked Valga (8-17) made lots of trouble for third ranked Rapla (16-9) on Saturday. Rapla managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valga. Valga was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Rapla made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game....   [read more]
