Finland U16-Estonia U16 63:33

Riina Karkkainen (166-G-98) leads Finland over Estonia in Day 2 of the Baltic Sea Basketball Cup tournament. The Finnish team improved to 1-1 record after a 63:33 win. The hosts of the tournament fell at 0-2 record.
Both teams lost their openers and looked forward for the initial success. Finland opened the game with 16-8 surge and never looked behind. They won the second frame 12-11 and led 28:19 at the halftime. Moreover the second half also belonged to the guests. Finland won the third frame 14-8 and finished the game with 21-6 in the last stanza.
Riina Karkkainen top-scored for the winners with 10 points and Marianne Kalin (183-PF-97) delivered 9. Selina Dockery (180-F/G-97) and Lotta Erakangas (183-F-97) followed them with 7 points each. Eeva-Gloria Kilu (178-F-87) poured in 10 points in a loss, whilst Darja Dikalenko (163-PG-97) produced 8. Sandra Tael (176-F-98) chipped in 7 points in the losing effort.

NKL Round 10: Payless hand first defeat to Narva - 16 days ago
There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games and favorites losing the games. Undefeated Narva (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of second ranked Payless on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Payless 61-60. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Newly promoted Payless maintains second position with 3-3 record having just one point less than leader Parnu.
