Joosep Toome
27-year old center Joosep Toome (208-C-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team TU/Rock and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Hito/Johvi (#9, 1-14) with 52-point margin 114-62. It allowed TU/Rock to take over top position in the Estonian league. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and TU/Rock keeps perfect 13 -0 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Toome as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Joosep Toome averages this season 11.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Ike Okoye (206-F) of Tln Kalev. He is Nigerian-American forward in his first season at Tln Kalev. In the last game Okoye recorded impressive 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Tln Kalev to edge slightly higher-ranked Parnu (#7, 5-10) by 3 points 79-76. Tln Kalev's 8th position in the standings has not changed. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Tln Kalev managed to get this year. Okoye is a newcomer at Tln Kalev and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.1ppg (#7). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-G-91) of Parnu (#7). Peciukevicius showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in the last round. Despite Peciukevicius' great performance Parnu lost 76-79 to slightly lower-ranked Tln Kalev (#8, 4-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Parnu not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Peciukevicius could try to bring Parnu's a little bit higher in the standings. Peciukevicius has a very solid season. In 14 games in Estonia he scored 14.3ppg. He also has 5.6rpg, 5.5apg and FGP: 56.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Andrew Arnold (208-C-86) of TTU - 28 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Augustas Peciukevicius (192-G-91) of Parnu - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists
6. Keith McLeod (190-PG-79) of Kalev/Cramo - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Siim Laur (189-G-87) of Hito/Johvi - 21 points and 8 rebounds
8. Heiko Rannula (185-G-83) of Valga - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Jaan Puidet (192-G/F-92) of TTU - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Valmo Kriisa (190-G-74) of TU/Rock - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

26-year old center Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Rapla and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. He had a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Tarvas (#7, 3-6) with 20-point margin 81-61. Rapla is placed at 2nd position in Estonian league. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of TU/Rock (7-1) in Tallinn on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Kalev/Cramo (5-2) 86-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of TU/Rock. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TU/Rock managed to win second period 22-16.
