Ingram
Tartu University/Rock won the 6th consecutive game in Baltic Basketball League, beating Siauliai 84:68 (38:39) and taking the sole lead in Group F with 2 wins out of 2 games.

Justin Ingram (188-PG-85, agency: Two Points, college: Toledo) led the hosts with 25 points, making 5 three-pointers out of 12 attempts. Vallo Allingu (206-F/C-78) and Egidijus Dimsa (205-C-85) added 15 points. Laurynas Samenas (192-G-88) led Siauliai with 17 points.

The guests who had won both games against Tartu last season, stormed to the lead 0:6 and 8:20, having made 6 three-pointers! The 2nd quarter looked even worse at the beginning. Three straight baskets took the guests ahead 14:28, already. But a three-pointer by Valmo Kriisa ignited hosts' come-back. On the 17th minuteof the game, a triple by Tanel Kurbas took the hosts within a single point, only (31:32) and back-to-back attacks by Allingu evened the score.

After halftime break the game belonged to the hosts. Although three free throws by Samenas put the guests ahead for the last time (41:44), Justin Ingram nailed a triple and Allingu made three consecutive baskets to make it 52:46. Kriisa and Kristo Saage added three-pointers and with a quarter to play, it was 62:51. In last quarter, the guests who were in serious trouble with 2-point attempts (made only 32%) never became dangerous again. Siauliai came within 8 points (64:56) but after time-out, Ingram made an incredible personal run, making three three-pointers in a row for 73:58 and the game was done.

Readus is back at Luqueno, ex TLU/Kalev - 2 days ago
Sportivo Luqueno (Metropolitan League) agreed terms with 25-year old American power forward Willie Readus (201-113kg-92, college: Delta State, agency: DTMones). It is actually his comeback to Luque as he has played here before. Readus played last season at TLU/Kalev in Estonian Alexela KML, but left the team in Feb.'17. In only one game he recorded 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Readus ended the previous (2016) season at Piratas (National League) in Ecuador. But the most of that ye...   [read more]
