Armands
Skele
BC Kalev/Cramo took one of the most important and suprising wins over past seasons on international level, by beating BC Donetsk 61:60 at home. The hosts were trailing 39:45 with a quarter to go but a huge performance by Armands Skele (192-G-83) helped the hosts to take the victory. The Latvian guard scored 11 points and dished 2 assists in last 10 minutes, including the game-winning free throw with 14 secs to play.
The guests had the opportunity to steal the victory but Ramel Curry (192-G-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) who had scored 10 points in last 7 minutes, missed the last shot with 2 secs left.

Kalev/Cramo who played without three big men - Frank Elegar, Gary Wilkinson and Rait Keerles - trailed 2:7 in 1st quarter but evened the game thanks to good shots and deadly defence by whole team, but especially Bamba Fall (217-C-86, college: SMU). The hosts' main trouble was Darius Songaila (204-C/F-78, agency: Priority Sports, college: Wake Forest) who scored 14 points in 1st half, making all of his shots. The hosts won the 1st half 29:25.

After the halftime break, the guests started to attack even more from under the basket. Kyrylo Fesenko (213-C-86) made three shots in a row, Boyan Stoyanovski added couple more and 6 consecutive points by Songaila made it 34:41, already. The hosts lost also Keith McLeod to an injury.

The last quarter started with a couple of brave performances by Ty Abbott. He made 5 points in 2 minutes and gave the hosts new hope. With 3.15 to play, Skele's three-pointer took the hosts ahead and although Curry was unstoppable at decisive minutes, the hosts had the final word.

The hosts made 62% 2-point shots while the guests could make only 40%. Kalev/Cramo won the game despite making only 3/19 three-pointers and losing the offensive rebounding 7:14.

Skele led the winners with 20 points, Bamba Fall added 16 + 12rb, Gert Dorbek 6 + 5rb and Abbott 5 points.
For Donetsk, Songaila had 20 points + 10rbs. Curry added 14, Fesenko 9 + 10rb, Stoyanovski 9 points.
