We bring you last week's top performances from Estonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Kristjan Kangur (201-82, currently plays in Euroleague). He contributed to a 2-point Montepaschi Siena's victory against the fifth-ranked Olympiacos (1-3) 74-72 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Kangur recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes on the court. Montepaschi Siena (4-0) is placed second in group F. So far his team won all four games in the Top 16. It's Kangur's first season with the team. This year he averages: 9.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 45.8%, 3FGP: 53.6%(30-56) in the 14 games he played so far. Kangur is currently a member of the Estonian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Janar Talts (207-83, currently plays in Italy). He managed to help Cimberio Varese to win against the ninth-ranked Enel Brindisi (8-8) 83-71 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. Talts recorded 5 points. Cimberio Varese (14-2) is placed first in the SerieA. Talts' overall stats this season are: 3.1ppg, 2.9rpg, 2FGP: 67.9%(19-28). He is in the roster of the Estonian senior national team.

   #3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Gregor Arbet (195-83, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1. Arbet could not help Kavala (3-10) to beat AGOR (8-5). He recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in 39 minutes. It was his first game for Kavala this season. Kavala lost 79-88 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) AGOR. Arbet is also a member of the Estonian senior national team.

   #4. Center Reinar Hallik (208-84, currently plays in Romania) led Craiova to a victory against the 12th-ranked Giurgiu (6-12) 84-70 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Sunday night's game. He scored 12 points. SCM CSU Craiova (13-5) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Hallik's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 2.3rpg. He is also Estonian national team player.

   #5. Former international center Viljar Veski (215-86, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Palma (4-9) in their game against Oviedo CB (9-3) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Veski scored 8 points in 17 minutes. Palma lost 74-83 on the opponent's court to the second-ranked Oviedo_CB. It was Palma's fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Veski's overall stats are: 7.5ppg and 2.9rpg in the 13 games. He used to play for the Estonian national team three years ago.

   #6. Power forward Joonas Vaino (204-92, currently plays in Finland) was not able to secure a victory for Namika Lahti (5-19) in their game against Kouvot (12-12) in the Finnish Korisliiga. Vaino did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. He recorded only 2 points. The bottom-ranked Namika Lahti was crushed 80-56 in Kouvola by the higher-ranked Kouvot (#6). Vaino's total stats this season are: 1.7ppg and 1.5rpg. He is U20 international player who is currently on the Estonian National Team roster.

Tallinna Ulikool/Kalev (Alexela KML) signed 25-year old Canadian ex-international point guard Jahmal Jones (183-91). He played last season at Bohemilk Turi Svitlavy in NBL league in Czech Republic. In 39 games he had 14.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.4apg (top 3) and 1.9spg (in top 3). A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Czech Rep. League Honorable Mention. Defending champion Sodertalje Kings (Basketligan) added to their roster 28-year old Estonian international guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88). He has played for the last six seasons at TU/Rock in Estonian Alexela KML. Kurbas managed to play in three leagues last year. In 31 Alexela KML games he had 10.5ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.0apg.
