Peciukevicius' 31-point game gives him Player of the Week award - Feb 3, 2013

Augustas
Peciukevicius
21-year old guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-G-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Parnu and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 31 points adding five rebounds and nine assists for Parnu in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tarvas (#2, 15-5) 96-90. Parnu maintains the 7th position in Estonian league. Parnu is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-10 record. In the team's last game Peciukevicius had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Parnu's top player in his first season with the team. Augustas Peciukevicius averages this season 15.7ppg, 5.8rpg and 5.7apg.

Second best performed player last round was Rain Raadik (208-C-89). He is international center in his first season at Parnu. In the last game Raadik recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Parnu to edge the higher-ranked Tarvas (#2, 15-5) by 6 points 96-90. Parnu's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-10 record. Raadik is a newcomer at Parnu and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-G-87) of league's second-best Tarvas. Raley-Ross showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, five rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Raley-Ross' great performance Tarvas lost 90-96 to the lower-ranked Parnu (#7, 7-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tarvas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 5 lost games. Raley-Ross has a great season in Estonia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 6.3rpg (9th best) and assists with 2.8apg (8th best). He also has FGP: 68.8% and 3PT: 41.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Siim Laur (189-G-87) of Hito/Johvi - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Gary Wilkinson (205-F/C-82) of Kalev/Cramo - 22 points and 7 rebounds
6. Gary Wilkinson (205-F/C-82) of Kalev/Cramo - 20 points and 8 rebounds
7. Reimo Tamm (185-PG-84) of Tarvas - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Indrek Kajupank (200-F-88) of Rapla - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Ty Abbott (192-G-88) of Kalev/Cramo - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Armands Skele (192-G-83) of Kalev/Cramo - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
