We bring you last week's top performances from Estonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Siim-Sander Vene (203-90, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Baltic League). He led his Lithuanian team Rudupis to an easy victory against the closely-ranked BC Rakvere (4-2) crushing them 108-72 in the Baltic League in Tuesday night's game. Vene recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 24 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group F. Rudupis Prienu (5-1) is placed first. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Vene averages: 9.4ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 53.9%, 3FGP: 29.3% and FT: 55.9% in the 16 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Estonian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Kristjan Kangur (201-82, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA. Kangur could not help Montepaschi Siena (14-7) to beat Armani Milano (13-8). He scored 7 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Montepaschi Siena was defeated 72-68 on the road by the lower-ranked Armani Milano (#6). Kangur's overall stats this season are: 8.5ppg, 2.9rpg, 2FGP: 56.5%(26-46), 3FGP: 43.9% and FT: 66.7%. He is in the roster of the Estonian senior national team.

   #3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Janar Talts (207-83, currently plays in Italy). Talts contributed to a Cimberio Varese's victory against the tenth-ranked Juvecaserta (8-13) 74-62 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 7 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 19 minutes. Cimberio Varese (17-4) is placed first in the SerieA. This year Talts' overall stats are: 3.4ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 65.9%(27-41), 3FGP: 28.6% in the 21 games. He is also a member of the Estonian senior national team.

Point guard Sten-Timmu Sokk (181-89, currently plays in Georgia) led Olimpi to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Samedicino-Academia (1-13) crushing them 110-63 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Sokk recorded 16 points and added 9 passes. Olimpi Tbilisi (12-2) is placed third in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Sokk's first season with the team. Sokk is ranked third on the list of the best passers in the league. His total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 3.1rpg, 6.1apg and 1.2spg. Sokk has a dual citizenship: Greek and Estonian. He is also Estonian national team player.

   #5. International swingman Gregor Arbet (195-83, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 was not able to help Kavala (5-14) in their last game. Despite Arbet's good performance Kavala was badly defeated 94-76 at home by the leading Olympiacos. He recorded 13 points in 28 minutes. This year Arbet's total stats are: 9.1ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.1apg in the seven games. He plays currently for the Estonian national team.

   #6. Center Reinar Hallik (208-84, currently plays in Romania) was not able to secure a victory for Craiova (19-6) in their game against Timisoara (17-8) in the Romanian Liga Nationala. Hallik recorded 9 points. But Craiova was defeated 85-81 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Timisoara (#6). They ended the series of nine consecutive victories. Hallik has averaged so far 5.4ppg and 2.0rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Estonian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international center Viljar Veski (215-86, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Palma Air Europa in a victory against the 14th-ranked La Palma (5-14) crushing them 74-52 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. Veski recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 11 minutes. Palma Air Europa (9-9) is placed seventh in the LEB Silver. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Veski has averaged so far 6.8ppg and 3.1rpg in the 17 games. He used to play for the Estonian national team three years ago.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of TU/Rock (7-1) in Tallinn on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Kalev/Cramo (5-2) 86-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of TU/Rock. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TU/Rock managed to win second period 22-16. Defending champion BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (Alexela KML) inked 30-year old Bulgarian ex-international power forward Cedric Simmons (206-107kg-86, college: North Carolina State). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Simmons already started the season at Buducnost in Montenegrin Erste Liga. Dutch Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Rapla and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 26-year old center had a double-double of 17 points and twenty four rebounds, while his team beat Parnu (#7, 3-5) 75-62. Rapla is placed at 2nd position in Estonian Alexela KML.
