The game had a very big importance for second-ranked TTU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. TTU defeated 5th ranked Parnu in Tallinn 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by TTU. Parnu managed to win fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was power forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Kiur Akenparg (190-88) chipped in 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). point guard Norman Kabin (188-97, agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points and 4 assists for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Parnu at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Tarvas. Parnu will play next round against Audentese/N. trying to get back on the winning streak. TTU will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked TU/Rock in Tartu.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Valga (3-2) against fourth ranked Rapla (3-1) on Saturday night. Host Valga was defeated by Rapla in a tough game in Valga 76-82. Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Domen Bratoz contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Sandis Silavs (195-88) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds for Valga. Valga's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rapla moved-up to third place. Valga at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Rapla will play against bottom-ranked TLU/Kalev (#9) in Tallinn in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Valga will have a break next round.
Undefeated leader TU/Rock delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Audentese/N. (0-3) 88-57 in Tartu. Venky Jois stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Taavi Jurkatamm responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory TU/Rock went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Audentese/N. still closes the standings with three games lost. TU/Rock will meet league's leader TTU in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Audentese/N. will play against Parnu (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 5 Tarvas was crushed by TTU in Tallinn 94-72.
