American Demonte Harper (193-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kalev/Cramo and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old guard had the game-high 18 points adding four rebounds and nine assists for Kalev/Cramo in his team's victory, helping them to beat TTU (#4, 6-3) 89-84. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kalev/Cramo maintains the 3rd position in Estonian Alexela KML. They are still close to the very top. Kalev/Cramo would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. Harper turned to be Kalev/Cramo's top player in his first season with the team. Morehead State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harper is league's best passer with 5.0apg. Harper is in league's top in and averages solid 53.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Latvian Ivars Rihards Zvigurs (198-SF-95) of Valga. Zvigurs impressed basketball fans with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Valga lost that game 76-83 to the higher-ranked Kalev/Cramo (#3, 8-2). Valga managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Zvigurs is a newcomer at Valga and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Kalev/Cramo's star - Belarusian Vitali Liutych (198-SG-92). Liutych scored 16 points. He was another key player of Kalev/Cramo, helping his team with a 83-76 win against the lower-ranked Valga (#6, 4-8). Kalev/Cramo is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Liutych has a very solid season. In 10 games in Estonia he scored 13.4ppg. He also has FGP: 61.7% and 3PT: 40.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cedric Simmons (206-F/C-86) of Kalev/Cramo - 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Toomas Raadik (202-PF-90) of TTU - 21 points and 4 rebounds
6. Nikola Vujovic (210-C-93) of TTU - 9 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Erik Keedus (198-F-90) of Kalev/Cramo - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Mark Tollefsen (206-PF-92) of Kalev/Cramo - 18 points and 4 rebounds
9. Sten Olmre (192-SG-95) of TTU - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Alexela KML Round 23: Rapla edges Valga by two points - 11 hours ago
There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Alexela KML. Sixth-ranked Valga (8-17) made lots of trouble for third ranked Rapla (16-9) on Saturday. Rapla managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valga. Valga was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Rapla made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game....   [read more]

International Shooting guard Martin Paasoja (191-SG-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for Rapla, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
