Here is the weekly review of the top performing Estonian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international small forward Kristjan Kangur (201-82, currently plays in Italy). He could not help Openjobmetis VA (4-12) in their last game. Despite Kangur's very good performance Openjobmetis VA lost 76-83 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) Banco di Srd. He was the top scorer with 16 points in 23 minutes on the court. It was Openjobmetis VA's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Kangur averages: 5.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 44.2%, 3FGP: 23.7% and FT: 89.5% in 16 games he played so far. He played for the Estonian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Denmark). Kitsing led Bakken to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Horsholm (8-10) crushing them 102-64 in the Danish Ligaen last Saturday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Bakken Bears (13-2) is placed second in the Ligaen. It's Kitsing's first season with the team. Kitsing has relatively good stats this year: 11.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 2FGP: 62.8%(27-43), 3FGP: 37.2% and FT: 87.5%. He is in the roster of the Estonian senior national team.

   #3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was former University international forward Maik-Kalev Kotsar (208-96, currently plays college basketball in the States). Kotsar contributed to an S.Carolina's surprising victory against the Auburn University (1-0) crushing them 98-69 in the NCAA on Tuesday night. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 25 minutes. The University of South Carolina has 4-0 conference record this season. So far his team won all four games in the conference. This year Kotsar's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 5.6rpg, 2FGP: 52.4% and FT: 46.9% in 21 games. He played for the Estonian university national team two years ago.

   #4. Center Rauno Nurger (208-93, currently studies in the States) led Wichita St. to an easy victory against the University of Evansville (2-0) 82-65 in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. Nurger scored 12 points. The Wichita State University has quite an impressive 5-1 conference record this season. It was Wichita St.'s third consecutive victory in a row. Nurger's total stats this season are: 5.5ppg and 3.1rpg. He used to play for the Estonian national team back in 2015.

   #5. International guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nassjo (10-11) 82-66 in the Swedish Basketligan last Saturday. Kurbas recorded 8 points in 28 minutes. Sodertalje Kings (10-5) is placed fourth in the Basketligan. This year Kurbas' total stats are: 9.9ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg in 14 games. He plays currently for the Estonian national team.

   #6. Small forward Siim-Sander Vene (201-90, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help BC Nizhny Novgorod in their game against VEF Riga (7-5) in the VTB United League. Vene did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. He recorded only 2 points. BC Nizhny Novgorod was defeated 81-74 in Riga by the higher-ranked VEF Riga (#6). This season Vene has relatively solid stats: 12.0ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.7apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Estonian senior team two years ago.

   #7. International point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (179-93, currently plays in Greece) was not able to secure a victory for Ethnikos (8-6) in their game against Doukas (11-2) in the Greek A2 (second division). Laane scored 7 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals in 30 minutes. Ethnikos lost 76-81 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Doukas. Laane has averaged so far 9.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.1apg and 1.2spg in 14 games. He is also Estonian national team player.

BC Kalev/Cramo defeated Avis Utilitas Rapla 91:62 on the road and was crowned a champion for the 9th time with a 4:0 sweep. Kalev/Cramo started the game with a huge 15:2 run but the hosts managed to come back as they trailed 29:32 only in the middle of the second. However, Kalev made a 7:0 run and won the first half 41:32. In 3rd, Avis fought well and trailed 47:52 with 4 minutes to play. FINAL Rapla - Kalev/Cramo 74-77 Kalev/Cramo overcame a fierce opposition from Rapla to claim the third straight win in the series. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 26-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kalev/Cramo forced 19 Rapla turnovers.
