Here is the weekly review of the top performing Estonian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international small forward Siim-Sander Vene (201-90, currently plays in EuroCup). He could not help BC Nizhny Novgorod (1-5) in their last game. Despite Vene's good performance BC Nizhny Novgorod lost 73-81 on the road to the leading Hapoel Jerusalem. He scored 14 points in 31 minutes on the court. It was BC Nizhny Novgorod's fifth consecutive loss in a row. The Second Stage already ended in the Eurocup. It's Vene's first season with the team. Vene has relatively good stats this year: 10.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 51.8%, 3FGP: 37.2% and FT: 75.0% in 14 games he played so far. He played for the Estonian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Denmark). Kitsing was the major contributor in Bakken's victory against the closely-ranked Svendborg (11-12) 97-85 in the Danish Ligaen last Tuesday. He scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Bakken Bears (16-3) is placed second in the Ligaen. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Kitsing has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 2FGP: 62.7%(37-59), 3FGP: 36.5% and FT: 85.7%. He is in the roster of the Estonian senior national team.

   #3. The Estonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92, currently plays in Sweden). Puidet led KFUM Jamtland to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (11-10) crushing them 83-59 in the Swedish Basketligan on Tuesday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. KFUM Jamtland Basket (12-12) is placed sixth in the Basketligan. This year Puidet averages: 7.6ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 42.1%, 3FGP: 32.6% and FT: 89.7% in 20 games. He is also a member of the Estonian senior national team.

Guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88, currently plays in Sweden) led Sodertalje Kings to a 3-point victory against the closely-ranked Uppsala Basket (13-10) 71-68 in the Swedish Basketligan in Saturday night's game. Kurbas scored 11 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sodertalje Kings (15-6) is placed third in the Basketligan. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Kurbas' overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.2apg. He is also Estonian national team player.

Former University international forward Maik-Kalev Kotsar (208-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to S.Carolina's surprising victory against the Mississippi State University (11-1) 77-73 in the NCAA last Saturday. Kotsar recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 32 minutes. The University of South Carolina has a very solid 10-2 conference record this season. This year Kotsar's overall stats are: 6.5ppg and 5.4rpg in 26 games. He used to play for the Estonian university national team two years ago.

   #6. Center Rauno Nurger (208-93, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Missouri State University (8-3) 80-62 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Nurger scored 10 points. The Wichita State University has a very good 12-1 conference record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Nurger's total stats this season are: 5.6ppg and 3.0rpg. He is a former international player as he played for the Estonian senior team two years ago.

Kosovo - Estonia 75-69 Kosovo qualified into the next round of the World Cup qualifiers. They held off visiting Estonia 75-69 to finish second in Group C. Estonian ended up on top with a 3-1 record. Dardan Berisha (191-SG-88) stepped up with 28 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds to lead the hosts. Estonia enjoyed a 38:35 halftime lead. Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (Winner League) inked 25-year old American power forward Mark Tollefsen (206-90kg-92, college: Arizona). He played most recently at Kalev/Cramo in Estonian Alexela KML. Tollefsen managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 28 Alexela KML games he averaged 12.0ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.3apg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup.
