Nanterre wrote history at the Hayri Gur Arena today. They survived a heart-stopping final minutes in the Final clash versus Trabzonspor and celebrated their first ever European trophy. T.J. Campbell (175-PG-88, college: Portland) became the hero for Nanterre as he converted a buzzer-beating layup and sealed the victory for the French team. Nanterre stayed in charge throughout the first half. The French team eked out a 19:17 lead ten minutes into the game. The visitors boosted the gap in the second quarter. Novica Velickovic (205-F-86, agency: Beo Basket) and Kaloyan Ivanov triggered an 8:0 run from the hosts early in the fourth frame as they grabbed a 57:56 lead. Kyle Weems (198-F-89, college: Missouri St.) stopped the rot for Nanterre giving them a 59:57 lead. He followed then with another triple as the French team gained a 62:59 advantage. However Dwight Hardy (188-PG-87, college: St.John's) came up with four points in a row to make it 63:62 with 13 seconds remaining in regulation. T.J.
