26-year old forward Nathan Peavy (203-F-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Art.Dragons and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4 (Top 16). He had the game-high 21 points adding four rebounds for Art.Dragons in his team's victory, helping them to beat Antwerp (#3, 1-3) 81-71. It allowed Art.Dragons to consolidate first place in the EuroChallenge group L. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Art.Dragons already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Peavy has many years of experience at Art.Dragons, through which he has constantly improved. Nathan Peavy averages this season 14.6ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Mire Chatman (187-G-78, agency: Higher Vision Sports) of league's second-best Karsiyaka. He is American guard in his first season at Karsiyaka. In the last game Chatman recorded impressive 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Karsiyaka was edged by slightly lower-ranked Triumph (#4, 1-3) 79-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group L. Karsiyaka still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Chatman is a newcomer at Karsiyaka and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 5.3rpg and 3.6apg.
Third place about best performers goes to Kyle Landry (207-C/F-86) of Triumph (#4). Landry scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Triumph, leading his team to a 79-77 win against #2 ranked Karsiyaka. Triumph can only dream about fighting for top spots in group L. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Landry he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Landry has a very solid season. In 10 games in EuroChallenge he scored 12.1ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and FGP: 54.3%.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Marcus Arnold (207-C/F-84) of BK Pardubice - 27 points and 9 rebounds 5. Artem Kuzyakin (200-G-80) of Triumph - 26 points and 4 rebounds 6. The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues.
