Moiso's defensive prowess was key to Joventut capturing last year's ULEB Cup crown as he averaged 8.8 points 6.7 rebounds and 2 blocks during the three games of the Final Eight. Moiso's only previous European club experience was the 2006-07 season, when he bounced from Virtus Roma to Fortitudo Bologna to Real Madrid, with whom he won the Spanish League title. He played just two Euroleague games with Roma. He had spent five seasons before that on six different NBA teams seeing limited action. Joventut had been looking for frontcourt help since Pops Mensah-Bonsu suffered a shoulder injury earlier this season after two Euroleague games, having been the top performer in the competition at that time. Subsequently, center Henk Norel was also injured.
