Khimky - Valencia 77-68
Khimky celebrated the EuroCup title at home court tonight. They outscored Valencia in a thrilling Final. Khimky also booked the Euroleague ticket for the next season. Khimky and Valencia tried to stay safe in the opening period. They stayed neck and neck throughout the first ten minutes. Khimky eked out a 16:15 lead after ten minutes. Khimky extended the lead in the second quarter. The hosts boosted the margin to as many as 7 points at the interval 37:30. But Valencia managed to revive the intrigue in the third frame. The Spaniards erased the deficit. Serhiy Lishchuk (210-C/F-82, agency: Beo Basket) knocked down eight points to put Valencia in charge 44:45. But Chris Quinn answered with a three-pointer to return the lead to Khimky. The home team managed to secure a 52:50 lead into the fourth frame. Claver hit a trey to put Valencia back in charge early in the final stanza. Zoran Planinic (199-G-82) returned the lead to Khimky in the next possession. But Valencia stayed close. Niklas Caner-Medley (203-F-83, agency: Beo Basket, college: Maryland) drained a three-pointer to tie things up at 66 with just over two minutes left. However it was the last success for the Spanish team. Khimky proved determination and calm in the key moments of the game. The home team capped regulation on an 11:2 run and sealed a triumphant victory at the end. Zoran Planinic accounted for 19 points, while Kresimir Loncar (210-F-83, agency: Alti Sport) added 14 points in the winning effort. Niklas Caner-Medley answered with 23 points and 11 rebounds for Valencia. Serhiy Lishchuk added 16 points in the loss.

3rd Place
Spartak SP - Lietuvos rytas 61-72
Lietuvos Rytas clinched the third position in EuroCup tournament. They overcame Spartak Saint Petersburg in the consolation final in Khimky tonight. Renaldas Seibutis (195-G-85) scored 21 points to lead the winners. Lietuvos Rytas took care of sloppy Spartak attitude in the first frame. The Lithuanian team stormed into the game taking a 24:10 lead after ten minutes. Spartak woke up in the second quarter. They stiffened their defence and started their comeback. The Russian team cut the deficit to 10 points at halftime 30:40. Lietuvos Rytas stayed alert in the third term keeping Spartak at distance. The Vilnius team secured a comfortable 11-point lead at the final intermission 55:44. Spartak got as close as four points 51:55 in the final frame but Renaldas Seibutis stepped up for the Lithuanian side and Lietuvos Rytas escaped with a tough win at the end. Aleksandar Rasic (194-G-84, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 12 points, while Mindaugas Katelynas and Jonas Valanciunas posted 10 points each for the winners. Patrick Beverley (185-PG-88, college: Arkansas) answered with 18 points for Spartak SP. Vladimir Dragicevic had 17 points in the loss.

BC Partizan NiS Beograd (KLS) tabbed 20-year old Australian guard Tom Wilson (196-82kg-97, college: SMU). He played in the summer at Melbourne Tigers in Australian SEABL-East. Paris-Levallois (ProA) brought in 22-year old power forward Petr Cornelie (211-95) on loan from Le Mans. The last season Cornelie played at Le Mans where in 30 ProA games he had 4.1ppg and 2.9rpg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. Last year Cornelie was drafted by Denver Nuggets (NBA) in second round (53rd overall). His team won French Cup in 2016. Shaquielle McKissic (ex Usak) agreed terms with Gran Canaria - 6 days ago
Herbalife Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) inked 27-year old American small forward Shaquielle McKissic (196-91kg-90, college: Arizona State). He played most recently at Muratbey Usak Sportlif Basketbol in Turkish BSL league. McKissic managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!).
