Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar improved its frontcourt for its Eurocup return next season by inking center Aleks Maric (211-C-84, college: Nebraska), the club announced Friday. Maric (2.11 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Panathinaikos Athens.

Last season, he averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 21 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games and he helped the Greens to win the Greek Cup title and reach the Final Four, while In 2010-11, he allowed Panathinaikos to lift the Greek League trophy and win its sixth Euroleague title and In 2009-10 - He had a breakout season with Partizan mt:s Belgrade, averaging 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds in 18 Euroleague games as the team reached Final Four for the first time since 1998. They also won the Adriatic League, Serbian League and Serbian Cup titles together.

Maric was voted to the All-Euroleague first team and was chosen December MVP in just his first season in the competition. He also earned weekly MVP awards for regular season weeks 7 and 8. Unknown to most fans before that season, Maric made a splash by recording a 49 index rating - tying the best single-game performance in the entire 2009-10 season - with his brilliant 34-point, 16-rebound performance against Efes Pilsen in regular season Week 7.

BC Khimky Moscow Region (VTB) inked 28-year old French international forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-F-88, agency: BeoBasket) (202-88, agency: BeoBasket). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Congolese passport. Boungou-Colo has played for the last four years at Limoges CSP Elite in French ProA. He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 32 ProA games he recorded 13.8ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.8apg. BC Khimky Moscow Region (VTB) inked 29-year old American swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports). He played most recently at Bucaneros in Venezuelan LPB league. Carter managed to play in five leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 14 LPB games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg.
