Former NBA and Euroleague forward Marcus Haislip, who recently signed in China with the DongGuan Leopards, is heavily recruiting former CBA championship teammate Lester Hudson, sources told Eurobasket.

DongGuan already agreed to terms with former California State Fullerton bullseye shooter Josh Akognon, however, Haislip apparently suggested Hudson to
DongGuan owners as a better fit. The ex-NBAer who according to sources has already agreed to financial terms with the Chinese club, is expected to sign the paperwork within the next few days.

Hudson, a 6'3" 28-year-old guard out of Tennessee-Martin, was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Hudson had NBA stints with the Celtics, Washington Wizards, and Memphis Grizzlies, and a pair of D-League teams before heading to China in January, 2011, where he won the domestic title for the Guandong Tigers. Hudson started last season with Chinese Qingdao Double Star where he finished second in the league in scoring (33.6ppg) and steals (2.9spg), and fourth in the league in assists (6.3apg) along with 7 boards per game. Later that season, Hudson returned to the United States where he would join the Austin Toros, and sign two 10-day contracts with the Cleveland Cavaliers before ending up with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In related news, Eurobasket sources informed that Chinese Shandong Bulls agreed to terms of a one-year deal with 6'10" American-Lebanese Vroman Jackson and 5'11" bullet-like point guard Pooh Jeter.

Jackson, 31, a versatile rebounding and scoring power-forward/center was selected (31) in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. Jackson was traded to the New Orleans Hornets before moving overseas to play in Spain, Lithuania, Iran, China, Korea, and Philippines, where he finished last season, recording double-doubles of 16.6 points and 12 rebounds, along with 4.1 dimes, 1.4 steals, and 2.4 blocks per game.

Shandong's second recruit is the 29-year-old California native Pooh Jeter, brother of Olympian Gold medalist sprinter Carmelita Jeter.

Jeter, a high volume explosive shooter played 61 games for the Sacramento Kings during the 2010-11 season, prior to signing with Spanish Joventut Badalona where he spent last season, posting 11.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.

In 2009, Jeter recorded a European career high of 39 points on 9/10 shooting from beyond the arc, including a game winning buzzer-beating trey to lead Hapoel Jerusalem to a 102-99 road win over Hapoel Afula. Jeter recently turned down a guaranteed offer from Germany's Division I Artland Dragons.
