American point guard Tywain McKee (188-PG-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Triumph, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 26-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Art.Dragons (#4, 0-2) in overtime 84-79. It allowed Triumph to consolidate first place in the Eurocup group C. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Triumph won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. It's McKee's second year at Triumph and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Coppin State College star has very solid stats this year. McKee is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.0spg and 60.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Dominican Rep. Sammy Mejia (198-G-83) of league's second-best Banvit BK. Mejia had a very good evening with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he lead Banvit BK to another comfortable win 101-82 over s.Oliver Baskets (1-1) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Mejia is a newcomer at Banvit BK, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American Brian Asbury (200-SF-86) of Cajasol (#4). Asbury scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Asbury's great performance Cajasol lost 93-95in overtime to Crvena Zvezda. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Cajasol can only dream about fighting for top spots in group H. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Asbury has individually a great season in Eurocup. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (best scorer).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Tony Easley (206-F-87) of Banco di Sard. - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists 5. Caleb Green (203-F-85) of Orleans - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists 6. Craig Smith (201-F-83) of Hapoel J-M - 23 points and 8 rebounds 7. Philipp Schwethelm (201-SF-89) of Ratiopharm - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists 10. Joao Paulo Batista (207-F/C-81) of Le Mans - 22 points and 4 rebounds
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Last Saturday, the Slovak center scored 13 points (5/7) and grabbed 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
His great mobility for a player his size and very effective shots allowed him to dominate last games in Belgium. When he combines those skills with his quickness, good hands and patience, Fusek can become one of the hardest big men to stop.
Fusek is also a great shot blocker, ranks first with 4 blocks per 40 min, due to his incredible height and decent timing.
Fusek averages 15.5 points and 12.25 rebounds per 40 min in Belgium
