American Courtney Paris (191-C-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Botas and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 22 points and eighteen rebounds, while her team beat Dunav 8806 (#3, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 84-70. Botas maintains the 2nd position in Eurocup group F. Botas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Paris turned to be Botas' top player in her first season with the team. The University of Oklahoma graduate has very impressive stats this year. Paris is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 73.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Glory Johnson (190-F-90) of second-ranked Chevakata. Johnson impressed basketball fans with 34 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for Chevakata to edge slightly higher-ranked Lattes Montp. (4-1) by 2 points 69-67. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group A. Chevakata consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Johnson is a newcomer at Chevakata and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#2). She also registered 12.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Marshae Dotson (180-F-87, agency: Merit Sports) of second-ranked VS Praha. Dotson scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. She was a key player of VS Praha, leading her team to a 78-61 easy win against #3 ranked Partizan. The chances of VS Praha ranking at the top of group G, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Dotson could help VS Praha to bring them higher in the standings. Dotson has a great season in Eurocup. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Geraldine Robert (183-F-80) of Lattes Montp. - 21 points and 7 rebounds
5. Camilla Blands (180-G-85) of SISU - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Utahya Drye (185-F-88) of Satu Mare - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Sidney Spencer (191-PF-85) of Dynamo-GUVD - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Kristi Toliver (170-PG-87) of Dynamo M. - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Mactabene Amachree (190-F/G-78) of TED Ankara - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Marie Malone (191-C-89) of SISU - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
