American Courtney Fells (198-SF-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hapoel J-M, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, seven rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Rudupis (2-3) 92-79. Hapoel J-M is placed at 3rd position in Eurocup group A. Hapoel J-M is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Fells had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hapoel J-M's top player in his first season with the team. Former North Carolina State University star has very solid stats this year. Fells is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 7.2rpg) and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Malcolm Delaney (191-G-89) of league's second-best Budivelnyk. Delaney had a very good evening with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Budivelnyk cruised to a 72-62 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked CEZ Nymburk (3-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group A. Budivelnyk consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Delaney is a newcomer at Budivelnyk, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Drake Diener (196-G-81, agency: Priority Sports) of league's second-best Banco di Sard.. Diener got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . He was a key player of Banco di Sard., leading his team to a 85-76 win against #3 ranked Cajasol. The chances of Banco di Sard. ranking at the top of group H, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Diener could help Banco di Sard. to bring them higher in the standings. Diener has a great season in Eurocup. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.0apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Justin Doellman (206-F-85) of Valencia - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Ian Vougioukas (212-C/F-85) of Unics - 21 points and 11 rebounds
6. Dusan Djordjevic (195-G-83) of Oostende - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
7. John Bryant (208-C-87) of Ratiopharm - 24 points and 10 rebounds
8. Devin Green (201-G/F-82) of Lukoil Academik - 22 points and 7 rebounds
9. Tywain McKee (188-PG-86) of Triumph - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Matt Lojeski (198-G-85) of Oostende - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Hagins ready for the game against AEK - May 28, 2016

Jamelle Hagins (206-F-90, college: Delaware) returns to the courts after an injury which left him out for more than one month. He was injured in the away game of Aris against Kifisia in Athens for the playoffs at 23 of April. Hagins is not available for the game against AEK - May 18, 2016

Aris starts today (18/05) the series against AEK in which the winner will take the third place of the league. The team of Thessaloniki has the home advantage for these games against the team of Athens. The big problem for Dimitris Priftis is that the starting center of Aris, Jamelle Hagins (206-F-90, college: Delaware) will not be available to play because he was seriously injured in the second game against Kifisia for the playoffs.
