Vitkovac
Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-F-82, agency: Beo Basket) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Buducnost, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3 (Top 16).
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Budivelnyk (2-1) 79-75. Buducnost maintains the 3rd position in Eurocup group I. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. Buducnost will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. It's Vitkovac's second year at Buducnost and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Cedomir Vitkovac has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.7rpg) and averages impressive 51.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Derrick Brown (203-F-87) of league's leader Lokomotiv. Brown had a very good evening with 28 points and 5 rebounds. Of course Lokomotiv cruised to a 87-80 relatively comfortable win over Cajasol (0-3). A very good start of the Top 16 for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Brown is a newcomer at Lokomotiv, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Lokomotiv's star - Australian center Aleks Maric (211-C-84). Maric showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Lokomotiv, helping his team with a 87-80 win against #4 ranked Cajasol in a game of the week. Lokomotiv started extremely well this Top 16. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game in group K. Maric turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Maric has a great season in Eurocup. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.7rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Charles Davis (205-C-84) of Banvit BK - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Malcolm Delaney (191-G-89) of Budivelnyk - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Mire Chatman (187-PG-78) of Unics - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Raul Lopez (183-PG-80) of Gescrap BB - 14 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Chuck Eidson (203-F-80) of Unics - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Tasmin Mitchell (201-F-86) of Triumph - 22 points and 8 rebounds
10. Dejan Borovnjak (207-F/C-86) of Stelmet ZG - 17 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
