Elitzur Ramla is the EuroCup winner for season 2010/11. The Israeli
squad shined when it was the most important and outplayed Arras on the
road 53-61. Teams were tied to 61-61 after the first meeting.

Pittsburgh) scored 15 points each for the winners. They also grabbed
7 and 6 rebounds respectively.
Shay Doron (175-F-85, college:
Maryland) helped Elitzur Ramla with 14 points and 7 boards, while
Tanisha Wright (180-G-83, agency:
LBM Management, college:
Penn St.) added 12 pts and also 7 rebs. In the loosing squad,
Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (187-F/C-82, agency:
LBM Management) collected 13 points and 7 rebounds, while
Olesia Malashenko (188-F-91, agency:
LBM Management) had 10 pts and 6 boards. Everything started good for
the hosts, who made 13-5 lead in the first ten minutes. However,
Le'Coe Willingham and her teammates took control on them in the
second quarter, what resulted with huge 9-28 in this period. Than after
the breather totally different picture was seen on the court as Arras
won Q3 with 19-12 closing the gap to 41-45 with ten minutes left.
Le'Coe Willingham opened the last period with a jumper for plus
six and five minutes later it was 45-54 for the guests. Arras came to
minus five in the finish, but that was all. Elitzur Ramla won the
trophy, which last year belonged to Sony Athinaikos.
Spartak Moscow Region clinch SuperCup title

Spartak Moscow Region - Athinaikos 70:61
Spartak MR claimed the first trophy of the European season. The
Euroleague champions defeated EuroCup holders Athinaikos in Athens to
celebrate the second straight SuperCup trophy. Last season Spartak MR
crushed Galatasaray in the inaugural SuperCup game.
Noelle Quinn (183-G-85, college:
UCLA) stepped up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to pace
the Russian powerhouse to the victory tonight.
Cheered up by the Greek fans Athinaikos started the game confidently.
They tried to stay close to Spartak but eventually the Russian team
pulled in front. Spartak posted an 18:14 lead ten minutes into the game.
Marina Kress (192-C-80) and
Nicole Soulis (188-F-85, college:
Wisc.-Green Bay) opened the second period with four points in a row
for Athinaikos. However
Ilona Korstine (182-G-80) scored five points in a row to ignite a
12:0 run that put Spartak in charge 34:21. Halftime scoreboard read
41:26 for the Russian team. Osipova,
Noelle Quinn and
Ilona Korstine gave the Euroleague champions a 21-point advantage
midway through the third term.
Aikaterini Sotiriou (187-F-84) helped Athinaikos organize an 8:0 run
late in the period as the Greek team got as close 12 points. Athinaikos
went on a 7:o rally to narrow the deficit at 6-point mark 55:61 midway
through the fourth term.
Olga Chatzinikolaou (181-G-81) sparked hope for Athinaikos as they
narrowed the deficit at just three points 59:62 with a bit more than two
minutes remaining in regulation. But
Noelle Quinn and
Ilona Korstine came up with timely points for Spartak as they ran
away for the victory.
Ilona Korstine provided 15 points for the winners.
Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (177-G-83) added 10 points for Spartak MR.
Dimitra Kalentzou (174-G-78) and
Aikaterini Sotiriou accounted for 12 points each for Athinaikos.
Olga Chatzinikolaou contributed 9 points for EuroCup champions.
