Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Awards 2014 - May 9, 2014
Eurobasket announces their Eurocups awards for the 11th consecutive year.
This year awards were dominated by U.S. players, who were decisive factor in their teams' performance.
The best player of the year goes to Andrew Goudelock who lead Unics all the way to the finals, where they were stopped by Valencia.
Spanish team was headed by Finals MVP Justin Doellman. He received also Forward of the Year award. Doellman received a strong support Bojan Dubljevic from Montenegro (all-Eurocup 2nd team).
Europeans are very strong at the center position, where that post was dominated by Center of the Year Vladimir Golubovic of TED Kolejliler. He had very strong contenders like Lithuanian Darjus Lavrinovic from Budivelnyk and American Paul Davis of Khimky.
The 1st team is completed by other two Americans DeMarcus Nelson of Crvena Zvezda and Dijon Thompson of Nizhny Novgorod.
Valencia dominate Unics to clinch the trophy - May 7, 2014

Valencia are 2013/14 EuroCup champions. They fired past Unics in Kazan today to claim a comfortable victory over their Russian opponents on aggregate in the Finals. Justin Doellman (206-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, college: Xavier) was pivotal with 26 points, 5 boards and 4 steals for Valencia. Pau Ribas accounted for the first basket of the game and Valencia never trailed afterwards. They opened a 16:4 lead after ten minutes. The margin grew at 18-point mark midway through the second frame. Valencia dominated on both ends of the floor building a 39:25 halftime lead. The scenario did not change in the third period. Valencia stayed in charge rallying to a 71:57 advantage at the final intermission. The margin grew at 20-point mark midway through the fourth term and the visitors breezed to the victory afterwards repeating their 2010 EuroCup success. Rafael Martinez (191-G-82) had 14 points, while Sam Van Rossom provided 11 points for the winners. Andrew Goudelock (190-G-88, college: Charleston) responded with 22 points for Unics. Ian Vougioukas (212-C/F-85, college: St.Louis) had 11 points in the loss.
