Fiat Torino (Serie A) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American (has also Slovakian passport) guard Andre Jones (191-88kg-90, college: Winthrop). He played most recently at BC Prievidza in Slovakian SBL league. Jones managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 48 SBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.1apg and 1.5spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian League Import Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team. Jones also played 12 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 14.1ppg, 3.9rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg. And finally he contributed to 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 12.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 4.5apg.
The most of previous (2015-16) season Jones spent at Vita Tbilisi in Georgian league. In 13 VTB United League games he was fifth best scorer with 13.9ppg and got 4.1rpg and 3.7apg. The other team Jones played that season for was Abejas in Mexican LNBP. In 12 games he got remarkable 20.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.2apg and 1.3spg.
Jones is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in four different countries. Jones has played previously professionally in Finland (BC Nokia), Sweden (Sodertalje Kings), United Kingdom (Newcastle Eagles) and NBA G League (Erie Bay Hawks).
He attended Winthrop University until 2012 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.

American Forward Luke Sikma (203-F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked ALBA, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 28-year old player was the main contributor (19 points, three rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Partizan NIS (#6, 0-1) with 26-point margin 111-85.
