Demetris
Nichols
KK Cedevita Zagreb (A1) added to their roster 33-year old American forward Demetris Nichols (202-98kg-84, college: Syracuse). He played last season at Panathinaikos in Greek A1 league, but left the team in Jan.'17. In 7 games he recorded 6.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.4apg. Nichols also played 32 games in Euroleague where he averaged 3.8ppg and 2.3rpg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.
The previous (15-16) season Nichols played at CSKA Moscow in Russian league. In 22 Euroleague games he had 4.2ppg and 1.5rpg. He contributed to his team winning the Euroleague championship (twice) (in both Euroleague and VTB United League !!!). Nichols also played 34 games in VTB United League where he got 5.6ppg and 2.4rpg. He contributed to his team winning the VTB United League championship.
In 2007 Nichols was drafted by Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in second round (53rd overall). He attended Syracuse University and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Nichols was voted Eurobasket.com All-EuroChallenge Honorable Mention back in 2014.
He is quite experienced player. Nichols' career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. Nichols tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Cholet Basket, Gravelines Dunkerque and JA Vichy), Puerto Rico (Capitanes), NBA (Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Iowa Energy), Russia (Krasnie Krilya) and Ukraine (Azovmash).
On Nichols: Demetris Nichols is versatile small forward who is able to shoot the ball with excellence. He is an amazing three-point shooter who always plays and scores within the team's system. His shooting touch is perfect, he is able to score on his defender from any given situation. Nichols is great when it comes to shooting the ball of the dribble or just going for a layup where he uses his strong body as an advantage. He can be also used as power forward. Coaches like him because he can also easily defend power forward position due to his strong body and athleticism.

KK Cedevita Zagreb roster for 2017-2018:

Guards:
Roko-Leni Ukic
Filip Kruslin
Toni Katic
Will Cherry
Mateo Vidovic
