Chris
Johnson
KK Cedevita Zagreb (A1) to sign 32-year old American power forward Chris Johnson (210-107kg-85, college: LSU) who plays at Anhui Wenyi in China. In 18 NBL games he had very impressive stats: 33.4ppg, 18.8rpg, 1.9apg, 1.8spg and 1.9bpg last season.
In 2010 (a year after he left the college) Johnson was drafted by Dakota Wizards (D-League) in first round (9th overall).
He attended Louisiana State University until 2009 and it may be his ninth season in pro basketball.
Johnson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Polish Cup final in 2010. Johnson was also voted USBasket.com All-D-League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2011.
He is quite experienced player. Johnson has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Dominican Rep., Puerto Rico (Capitanes), Turkey (Turk Telekom), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves), Poland (Poznan PBG Basket), China (Golden Bulls, Long Lions and Zhejiang Guangsha Lions) and NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors).
Johnson could be described: a truly gifted and unique physical specimen who at 6'11 is as mobile and explosive as most SFs. Great motor on every possession combined with his length and explosiveness make Chris a tremendous shot-blocker, rebounder and defender. Skilled offensive player who excels with space on pick and pop, face up, slashing and put back possessions. A game changer on both ends of the floor!.
