Sasha
Vujacic
Fiat Torino (Serie A) added to their roster 33-year old Slovenian ex-international shooting guard Sasha Vujacic (201-93kg-84). He has played for the last two seasons at New York Knicks in the NBA. In 41 games he had 3.0ppg, 1.4rpg and 1.3apg last season.
In 2004 Vujacic was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in first round (27th overall).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Turkish President Cup final in 2013. Vujacic was selected to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2013.
He was a member of Slovenian international program for some years. Vujacic was called to Slovenian Senior National Team between 2006 and 2009 and previously for U20 National Team in 2002.
He is quite experienced player. Vujacic has played also professionally in Spain (Baskonia), NBA (LA Clippers, LA Lakers and Brooklyn Nets), Turkey (Anadolu Efes and Istanbul BBSK), Italy (UBC) and Slovenia (Hopsi Polzela).
On Vujacic: the typical open court player, who loves to score in penetration and in fast break; is adding shooting range (can yet easily hit a three pointer) and is improving his defense; huge upside at SG.
Outlook (by NBADraft.TK):
Positives: Great height and size to play the point. Excellent ball handling ability and passing ability for a guy his size. Is developing a very consistent jump shot. Great free throw shooter that knows how to penetrate and get to the line. Excellent on the fast break and in the open court. Unselfish player that is always looking for open teammates. Possesses decent speed and quickness for a player his size. Mediocre defensive player. Good feel for the game and has a good enough basketball IQ to play the point in the NBA.
Negatives: Even though he can play the point, he still needs to refine his point guard skills in to even be considered a good point guard. He needs to improve his ball handling, court vision, and passing ability. He definitely has he potential to play the point, but shooting guard looks like the position he is most comfortable playing. Desperately needs more seasoning at playing the point guard. If he has to play the shooting guard position he will be overmatched physically and athletically. Still needs to gain weight and some more muscle to fill out his frame. Gaining strength isn't his biggest priority, but would definitely be a good addition to his game
.

Luke Sikma
Sikma number one in EuroCup for round 1 - 6 days ago
American Forward Luke Sikma (203-F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked ALBA, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 28-year old player was the main contributor (19 points, three rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Partizan NIS (#6, 0-1) with 26-point margin 111-85. It allowed ALBA to take over top position in the EuroCup. But it's just the very beginning of the sea...   [read more]
