After leading Unicaja Malaga to the victory and, of course, the Euroleague. Jamar Smith (191-G-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) will return to the Eurocup with Unics Kazan. Jamar thanks for talking to Eurobasket.com

1.- How has Kazan been so far?
Kazan has been very nice so far. The team has a good chemistry and is growing in a good way even though it is only preseason. And the city is very nice as well the only thing that could make it better was if my family was here already.

2.- After a great season with Unicaja Malaga, big teams were after you. Why did you choose Russia?
Russia has a lot of big teams and I consider Kazan to be a big club. I understand what they are trying to build here and I wanted to be a part of that.

3.- What expectations do you have for next season. What are your goals?
My goal is to be one of the most competitive teams in Eurocup and VTB. I want our team to be known for how competitive we are no matter who and where we are playing.

4.- What can you tell us about your experience in Malaga?
Malaga will always have a special place in my heart. My daughter was born there, I played there for two years and we won Eurocup. I'm grateful I was able to play there with such good players and staff.

5.- What's been the most memorable moment of your basketball career so far?
Winning Eurocup was amazing. My wife surprised me and flew my mother in to Malaga so she could see the finals. And it was her first time seeing me win a championship. I will always remember that and couldn't thank my wife enough for it.
