RETAbet Bilbao Basket (Liga Endesa) inked 31-year old American center Mickell Gladness (211-104kg-86). He played most recently at Kalev/Cramo in Estonian Alexela KML. Gladness managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 28 Alexela KML games he averaged 6.2ppg and 5.4rpg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) and the cup (also twice). A very good season in his career as he was selected to Estonian All-Star Game. Gladness also played 7 games in Baltic League where he had 7.0ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.0bpg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. And finally Gladness contributed to 24 games in VTB United League where he recorded 8.0ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.5bpg.
Gladness ended the previous (2015-16) season at San Lorenzo in Argentinian LigaA. In three games he got 6.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.0bpg. But the most of that year he spent at Maccabi Ashdod (Winner League) in Israel. In 21 games he got 5.7ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.6bpg.
Gladness has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he received All-SWAC Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2007 and 2008.
Gladness is a very experienced player.
