Rudy Fernadez heads to Real Madrid? - Aug 15, 2011

According to various sources, Rudy Fernandez (197-G-85) is back to Spain. Reportedly, the Spanish superstar agreed a four-year deal with Real Madrid (12M euros). He will play for the club until the end of NBA lock-out, after what he will have to return to Dallas Mavericks, but the next summer Fernandez will join Real Madrid until the end of 2014/15.
Rudy Fernandez spent last three years with Portland Trail Blazers. He appeared 84 times in NBA last season averaging 8.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Almost the same numbers Fernandez had for 68 games in 2009/10 season. In his rookie NBA year Rudy Fernandez collected 10.1 ppg, 2.7 rpg and 2 apg for the Blazers. Two months ago Dallas Mavericks acquired Fernandez in trade. In Spain, Fernandez spent more than seven years with DKV Joventut. He is active member of the Spanish National Team since 2004.
The deal is still not official.

Maccabi Tel Aviv announced the name of the new head coach. Rami Hadar will take over the Israeli powerhouse. The specialist started the season as assistant coach with Maccabi.
