Ian
Vougioukas

Another pair of players of Panathinaikos are traveling to Unics Kazan to sign with the Russian team. After Kostas Kostas Kaimakoglou (206-C/F-83) who signed his contract last week, Ian Vougioukas (212-C/F-85, college: St.Louis) and Stratos Perperoglou (203-F-84) will soon sign their contract. Ian Vougioukas allready announced by the Russian power house today will is expected to be done exactly the same thing with the international small forward Stratos Perperoglou.

Romain Sato (194-G/F-81, college: Xavier) and Mike Batiste (203-F-77, college: Arizona St.) join forces earlier last week with Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul the Turkish power house.
Nick Calathes (198-G-89, college: Florida) started this "abandon" plan from the Greens as he was the first to leave the club for the Russian team of Lokomotiv Kuban, while Aleks Maric (211-C-84, college: Nebraska) and Sarunas Jasikevicius (192-G-76, college: Maryland) are quite close to sign their new contracts with Regal FC Barcelona according to a number of Greek and Catalonian newspapers.

In the mean time, Drew Nicholas (191-G-81, college: Maryland) who suppose to sign with Panathinaikos agreed financial terms with CSKA Moscow while the supposed to be the new player for Panathinaikos Greek international center Dimitrios Mavroeidis (208-C-85) seems to prefer the "lower" offer by the red rivals and is expected to join forces soon with the team of Olympiakos.

In some other news now, Giannis Kalabokis ex player of Alba Berlin agreed financial terms with an Italian club which will officially be announced in a couple of days

Recap of Round 27 of Regular Season - 19 minutes ago
Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 85-69 The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Real Madrid as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Real Madrid defeated 11th ranked FC Barcelona at home 85-69. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. FC Barcelona managed to win third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Real Madrid dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to FC Barcelona's 18. Euroleague round 26 best performance: Paulius Jankunas - 4 days ago
Power forward Paulius Jankunas (205-PF-84) had an amazing evening in the last round for Zalgiris, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26. The 32-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Unics (#16, 7-19) 82-80. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Zalgiris maintains the 10th position in Euroleague . Zalgi...   [read more]

Matt Lojeski
To Lojeski or ..Not? - 4 days ago
Olympiakos is sticking to their favorite contract renewal tactic for another key-player of the team in the case of Matt Lojeski. Are the Reds playing with fire or are they simply not too interested? So, the Lojeski file An asset for Olympiacos' game, a contract that expires An issue I've wanted to talk for a while now on a more formal basis in order to exchange opinions and approach the case realistically as much as possible by chucking the veil of subjectivity (which, in any case, is t...   [read more]
