Maccabi Tel Aviv tab Pops Mensah-Bonsu (206-F-83, agency: SportsTalent, college: G.Washington) for the next season. The British player will sign after the Olympics. Early in 2010 Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv made a very generous offer to the former Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors NBA player, Pops Mensah-Bonsu. It was reported that Maccabi had offered the Great Britain center $500.000 dollars for the season. Pops Mensah-Bonsu had the best season with Besiktas Milangaz. in December he joined the Turkish team and it was a great move by the player. Besiktas managed to beat Anadolu Efes 80-76 in Game Six of the Turkish league Finals winning the title with 4-2 in the series. Mensah-Bonsu shined in this game with 10 points and 8 rebounds for 26 minutes on the court. This was third trophy for Besiktas last year as they already celebrated in Turkish Cup and EuroChallenge. He played 11 games in EuroChallenge registering 18.5 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 1.3 apg and 1 bpg. The British big guy was the top rebounder, top shot blocker and fourth scorer of the competition. Mensah-Bonsu also was the Finals MVP and Eurobasket.com named him Eurobasket.com All-EuroChallenge Player of the Year -12.

Jasmin Repesa is not going to stay with Unicaja Malaga reportedly. The Spanish media reports that the team decided to part ways with the coach after his failure to lead Unicaja into the ACB playoffs.
