Let's take a look to the top offseason's teams, evaluating them in accordance with the money spent and the quality they add. The Top-recruitings for the upcoming season

4. Fenerbache: Pianigiani brought all the right pieces for his quick & hit style of basketball, building a new very quality team that will run and defend in all over the court. The Turkish powerhouse paid 1.3 million dollars for McCalebb but they took as an extra- Pianigiani and Andersen's freedom from Montepaschi. The Italian choose Mike Batiste (who is an expert on Pianigiani's favorite hedge out defense) for the paint, knowing that if ''iron Mike'' hurt, his frontcourt chemistry will be in trouble.

3. EA7 Milano: ''Scarpette rosse'' improved their roster largely, adding two Euroleague stars, Keith Langford and Richard Hendrix, whom Blatt calculated as a key pillar for his new Maccabi. Sergio Scariolo also added important role players like Chiotti (a younger replacement for Rocca) Roc Stipcevic and legendary shooter Gianluca Basile. The quality of the roster is undeniable such as Scariolo's responsibility for a deep run..

2. Olympiakos: The European champions didn't change a lot of things, after last year's legendary achievement but the club's administration deserves a credit. The renewals of Printezis, Law, Dorsey reached after tough and long negotiations. Besides, the Reds manage to sign two quality Greek NTs players, Perperoglou and Mavroeidis, increasing their benchs quality level. Ok, Dusan Ivkovic is not around anymore and that is a big absence but you can't have it all..

1. Real Madrid: Real manage to keep most it's players and coach Laso brought back Rudy and a great USA duo (Slaughter-Draper) which can thrive in transition offense. Llull signed a new contract and took a place in the starting backcourt next to Fernadez. Their execution speed as a team is something inconceivable..

The "Hoosier" Lucas Lecavicius.. - 1 day ago
Panathinaikos found their own elf to add to their backcourt deep in the Baltic forest, expecting to bring some of the Lithuanian school magic at OAKA. Let's talk about the "Hoosier" Lucas Lecavicius.. Xavi Pascual seems to be close to us in terms of thinking and philosophy. I started this offseason thinking the names of Janis Strelnieks and Daniel Theis, envisioning a new, more 'European' Panathinaikos. The German big man signed with the Celtics, and the 'packaging' of the choice of Leca...   [read more]
